  I only know about nomex.
  
  If you can come up with a plausible story - you might be able to get a sample. Once I called Alcoa for information on an aluminum-lithium alloy (space shuttle gastank stuff - for a research project), and the guy ended up sending a box of plates. Worth a try, like maybe you're developing a product line.
